This imagery was purchased by the City of San Jos� Environmental Services Department Marsh Conversion Study. These studies can be viewed at www.sanjoseca.gov/esd under Research and Publications section. This imagery was used for mapping of vegetation and wetland types as part of the annual Marsh Conversion Study. This study is done either annually or semi-annually by the City of San Jos� Environmental Services Department. This study is a requirement for to maintain the NPDES Permit for the San Jos�-Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant. The product purchased from GeoEye, Inc. As follows: Band 1 - Red (R) Band 2 - Green (G) Band 3 - Blue (B) Band 4 - Near-Infrared (NIR) Bands 4, 2, 1 were stacked to generate Color-Infrared Imagery output as ERDAS .img files Bands 1, 2, 3 were stacked to generate True-Color Imagery output as ERDAS .img files The processing (layer stacking and image export from original geotiff format to ERDAS Imagine .img format was done using the following ESRI ArcGIS 8.3 extension --> Image Analyst 8.3 by Leica GeoSystems). Prior to product delivery, Space Imaging derived the imagery from their 1 Meter Panchromatic Sensor & 4 Meter Near Infrared/Color Sensor. The 4 Meter imagery was pixel-merged/sharpened with the 1 Meter Panchromatic imagery, hence the true term for this imagery, 1 Meter PAN-Sharpened Resolution.
